Caitlin Hurd (b. 1978) grew up in the suburbs north of Boston. She holds a a BFA in Furniture Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art. After completing her BFA, she worked with school-age children to create public murals for their communities.

Currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York, Hurd's enigmatic figurative paintings and drawings have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions. She has been shown with galleries in New York City, St Barths, California, and Florida, and has work in prestigious private and corporate collections, including the collections of Dasha Zhukova, Roman Abramovich, and Howard Tullman.
